MANCHESTER — The family of Debess Rogers of Lyndeborough gave victim impact statements in Hillsborough County Superior Court North Monday during a sentencing hearing for the driver who struck and killed Rogers,  according to the New Hampshire Union Leader Tuesday.

The 60-year-old grandmother was walking towards her home in the middle of the night toward her Lyndeborough home in July 2016 when she was struck and killed by a truck driven by then 17-year-old Lyndeborough resident Grace Wight, now 19.

Wight  pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor charge of vehicular assault on Friday in Hillsborough Country Superior Court, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader Friday.
