HANCOCK — Police responded to a serious single car crash on Bonds Corner Road in Hancock Thursday night around 9:45 p.m.

Hancock Police Department responded to a report of a serious motor vehicle collision with ejection on Bonds Corner Road in the area of Shire Road in Hancock. Hancock Police along with Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the scene and found a single vehicle head-on into a tree heavy damage. The driver of the vehicle was walking around outside the car. It was determined that the occupant was not ejected from the vehicle. The vehicle involved was identified as a 2002 Saturn S-Series sedan operated by Brian Dolan, age 33, of Hancock, New Hampshire. Dolan sustained non-life threatening injuries in the collision and was transported to Monadnock Hospital in Peterborough, NH.

Based upon the initial on-scene investigation, it appears that the Saturn S-Series was traveling northbound on Bonds Corner Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle causing the vehicle to cross the center line and southbound lane, impacting a tree off the west side of the roadway and coming to final rest.

Dolan was arrested at the hospital for Driving After Suspension and Breach of Bail Conditions. Dolan was bailed on $1000 Personal Recognizance bail with a court date of March 7, 2018.

The Hancock Police Department was assisted on the scene by the Hancock Fire and Rescue Department and the Peterborough Ambulance.

The crash remains under investigation. Speed appears to be a factor in the crash. Anyone that may have further information related to this collision, or who witnessed this collision, are encouraged to Officer Frank Shea at 603-525-4102 or by email at hancockpd@hancocknh.org.
