KEENE — A Roxbury man was arrested Friday for felony conspiracy to sell a controlled drug.

Matthew James Lamoureux, 40, of Roxbury Street, Keene, is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges in the Cheshire County Superior Court today, Sept. 11, at 1:30 p.m.

Keene Police were investigating a possible sale of a controlled drug (crack-cocaine) Friday afternoon when they observed Lamoureux arrive at the rear of the Colony Mill Marketplace parking lot to do so. Lamoureux, when approached by police, tried to flee on his bicycle. He was stopped and when confronted, physically resisted arrest. He was quickly controlled and taken into custody. Items suspected to be controlled drugs were located on his person.

Lamoureux is currently being charged with one felony count of Conspiracy to sell a controlled drug. He was held in lieu of bail at the Cheshire County House of Corrections pending his Monday arraignment in superior court.
