KEENE — A Keene State College bookstore employee is accused of soliciting a minor online.

Olivier Gabriel, 24, of Young Court, Swanzey, was arrested Tuesday and charged with one felony count of certain uses of computer prohibited and one misdemeanor count of sexual assault.

Keene Police initiated an investigation into the online solicitation and meeting of a child under the age of sixteen on Aug. 25, Keene police said in a news release Wednesday.

Evidence collected was then brought before the Cheshire Superior Court and an arrest warrant was issued.

Police arrested Gabriel on Tuesday at 4 p.m. without incident, police said, at the Keene State College bookstore Gabriel works.

In lieu of bail, Gabriel was taken to the Cheshire County House of Corrections where he was held overnight.

He was before the Cheshire County Superior Court Wednesday afternoon.
