In a meeting with staff and faculty in the Redfern Arts Center, Treadwell said Keene State plans to create two schools within the college one for Arts, Education and Culture majors and a school of Sciences, Sustainability and Health.

Treadwell said the number of positions at the college to be reduced would depend on who takes the college up on a buyout option she referred to as a “voluntary separation program” that would be offered to all benefited and tenured employees of the college.

The restructuring is aimed at balancing the budget, which requires a $5.5 million reduction in FY19, mostly due to declining enrollment.
