JAFFREY — Governor Chris Sununu will be speaking at a joint breakfast of Monadnock area Chambers of Commerce.  Jaffrey, Rindge, Greater Keene and Greater Peterborough Chambers of Commerce will be hosting the breakfast on Thursday, April 19th at 7:30 AM.    Governor Sununu is the 82nd governor of New Hampshire.  He is also the youngest state governor in the country.

Governor Sununu grew up in Salem, New Hampshire.  As an MIT-trained environmental engineer, he worked to clean up hazardous waste sites for 10 years and, in 1998, completed a five-month trek along the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia.

In 2010, he led a group of investors to buy out the Waterville Valley Resort where he worked as CEO to expand the resort in cooperation with the National Forest Service.  Last year, he was awarded the New Futures’ 2017 President’s Award for championing policies that improve the health and wellness of all Granite Staters.  Prior to being elected governor, he served three terms of the Executive Council, representing 32 cities and towns in Rockingham and Hillsborough Counties.  Today, he resides in Newfields with his wife and three children.
